Upload your files to Skyfish with minimal effort
Whether you want to upload multiple-gigabyte folders, or a single ZIP file — Skyfish’s upload process remains easy as possible.
With Skyfish, you maximize your efficiency, and minimize your effort.
Secure file upload — it’s easy from anywhere
Upload your files to Skyfish’s secure cloud storage direct via the platform’s web interface. All you need is a browser and an internet connection.
Cloud storage means your files remain accessible anywhere — whatever your location. What’s more, you can upload from anywhere, too.
Skyfish’s secure storage is based on the AWS cloud computing platform. It uses AWS’s EU servers, which conform to the GDPR’s requirements for secure data storage. Your files are backed up automatically, so even in the highly unlikely event of a system failure, you will lose no files. And, Skyfish encrypts every file during its upload, to ensure further privacy protection.
Upload several ways: whichever is most convenient
Skyfish offers several ways to upload your files to its secure cloud storage:
Web Upload, with Drag & Drop
The easy Drag & Drop method works via the Skyfish web interface. On your desktop or laptop, you simply drag files — or even whole folders — from your hard drive into the browser window for Skyfish, and then drop them into your Skyfish Drive.
Skyfish handles all file formats. As soon as you drop your file into whichever folder you wish to place it, the upload process begins.
You can even drag entire folders directly into Skyfish, to upload multiple files you’ve already organized into a folder structure. All your existing sub-folders are preserved, letting you transfer your organizational structures seamlessly from offline to the cloud.

Web Upload, using Skyfish to select files and folders from your hard drive
Skyfish also lets you upload files and folders from your hard drive, by using the options found in Skyfish’s context menus and toolbars.
Upload and create folders
It’s simple. First, open the context menu on your Skyfish Drive: right-click with a two-button mouse, or control-click on Mac. Choose to create or upload entire folders.

Moreover, you can also upload files and folders to Skyfish using the Upload buttons in the toolbar at the top of the Skyfish web interface.

Upload gigabytes at once with FTP
You might find it easier to upload many multiple files from your hard drive to Skyfish — especially if the files are already organized into an extensive folder structure — with the File Transfer Protocol (‘FTP’) service.
Using an FTP client with Skyfish is just like opening another folder on your computer — except, it’s your Skyfish Drive. You simply need an FTP client application, with which you log into Skyfish using your usual username and password. Simply open your Skyfish Drive with your FTP client, and transfer your files and folders over from your hard drive. Easy!
Import from a Dropbox account
Importing files you’ve already stored in Dropbox into Skyfish’s ultra-secure storage is easy — we’ve even made a Dropbox Synchronization Guide.
Just grant your Skyfish account access to your Dropbox account in Skyfish’s settings. Immediately after, you can begin to directly import your files and folders to Skyfish.
When importing, Skyfish preserves the folder structure you already have in Dropbox. This ensures that organizing your data stays as simple as possible.
Once the files are copied from Dropbox to Skyfish, you still have access to the originals in Dropbox. You can also delete your imported files, or remove access to your Dropbox from Skyfish at any time. Skyfish makes sure that you’re always in full control of your data.
