Crop Tool
The Crop Tool makes it possible to adjust image framing directly in Skyfish, without using external editing software. It’s especially useful for social media, web content, and presentations where specific formats are required.
What can the Crop Tool be used for?
- Adjusting image framing before downloading or sharing
- Preparing files for specific formats (e.g. 1:1, 16:9, 4:3)
- Creating alternate versions without affecting the original file
How is the Crop Tool used in practice?
- Locate the desired image in Skyfish
- Click the image to open the preview
- Select “Crop” in the top menu
- Choose a predefined format or use freeform cropping
- Adjust the crop area and click “Save” or “Download”
What happens to the original file?
The original file remains unchanged. Cropped versions are saved separately or can be downloaded directly without being stored as new files in the system.
Which formats are supported?
Cropping can be done in the following formats:
- Standard formats: 1:1, 16:9, 4:3
- Custom dimensions: Drag and adjust freely
- Fixed resolution (px): Specify exact height and width
- Social media: Choose from predefined sizes such as Instagram Story, Facebook Cover, or LinkedIn Post
- Custom templates: Define and save personal crop templates that can be reused or shared with other users
