About D’Angleterre
D’Angleterre is an award-winning historical hotel that delivers much more than simply an overnight stay. The hotel was founded in 1755 and due to its light and elegant expression it was rebuilt as a new and unique experience in the center of Copenhagen. A visit at d’Angleterre, therefore, is a very aesthetic and visual experience. To be able to give their potential visitors a true idea of what their experience will be like, d’Angleterre needs a fast and easy way to quickly and easily share their many beautiful images with the world.

“Earlier we had a less user-friendly system which was complicated to use. It was not particularly aesthetic in its expression either.”
The problem
D’Angleterre ran into a problem which an increasing number of companies can relate to: the storage solution they were used to was abandoned and no longer maintained with updates and support. Therefore, they needed a new way to upload, host, and share their many stunning images. They also needed a better way to share images, which was a task that posed challenges in their previous solution.
They also needed a system that was intuitive and easy to use. They needed to be able to create visually stunning galleries without the help of a designer or a programmer. Finally, they really wanted a way to share images in different sizes—without having to upload multiple versions of the same photograph again and again. Fortunately for d’Angleterre, they discovered Skyfish…and their image problems were a thing of the past.
The solution
Now that they’re using Skyfish, d’Angleterre finally has a fast, easy, secure, and intuitive way to store their images files online. PR and Communication Manager Signe Thorup explains that they now update their Gallery on a weekly basis with images that they organize and display through their Public Media Gallery. The Gallery is created and designed so that it matches the beautiful and professional images the hotel wants to project to the public.
They link to their Gallery in the footer on their website using the title “Press,” and if a representative from the press ends up here, they can see a visual and professional overview of the hotel’s different outlets, facilities, and events. As an extra bonus, d’Angleterre can now upload all their images in the Gallery in one size, because Skyfish creates smaller versions of all images for visitors to download. Skyfish has resulted in a faster, easier, and more satisfying way for d’Angleterre to host and share their images with the world.

“Skyfish is a user-friendly system and the personal, technical support is really good.”
