A poor old homeless lady in Santiago, Chile seems to be the only spectator of police repression during public protests. She seems not to see them while reading a pamphlet calling for civil disobedience and does not seem to be catching the attention of the police either. Both are in the same place at the same time, but not in the same “world”. The poor elderly suffer discrimination permanently. For many they do not exist, are not considered and worse, they don’t have any opportunities for participation. Being old is like not existing.
