1 September 2023; Daithí de Róiste, Lord Mayor of Dublin, with athletes, from left, Lauren Campbell, Palmerstown Wildcats, who was part of the basketball team that won a gold medal; Ailis Colgan, South Dublin Special Olympics Club, who participated in the gymnastics rhythmic events and won a silver and three bronze medals; Emma Johnstone, Sports Club 15, who was part of basketball team that won a gold medal; Timothy Morahan, South Dublin Sports Club, who participated and won two gold medals in athletics for both the 5,000m and long jump events; Louise Day, Palmerstown Wildcats, who was part of the basketball team that won a gold medal; and Keith Doyle, Metro Special Olympics Club, who participated in the singles, doubles and team bowling events and won a silver medal, during a welcome reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Dublin at the Mansion House for Team Ireland Special Olympics athletes based in Dublin who competed in the 2023 World Games in Berlin in June.
