Eddie Condon (by name Albert Edwin Condon) was an American jazz banjoist, guitarist, and bandleader. A leading figure in Chicago jazz, he also played piano and sang. In high school he played ukulele, he switched to banjo and was a professional musician by 1921.

b. November 16, 1905 in Goodland, Indiana.
d. August 4, 1973 in New York.
