Buddy Tate (by name George Holmes “ Buddy “ Tate) was an American jazz saxophonist and clarinetist. Tate was performing in public as early as 1925 in a band called McCloud´s Night Owls. He began his career in the late 1920s, playing around the Southwest with bands led by Terrence Holder, Andy Kirk and Nat towles.

b. February 22, 1913 in Sherman, Texas.
d. February 10, 2001 in Chandler, Arizona.

Roy Eldridge (by name David Roy Eldridge) nickname “ Little Jazz” was an American jazz trumpeter, his virtuosic solos exhibiting a departure from the dominant style of jazz trumpet innovator Louis Armstrong, and his impact on Dizzy Gillespie mark him as one of the most influential musicians of the swing era and a precursor of bebop.

b. January 30, 1911 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
d. February 26, 1989 in Valley Stream, New York.
